MASMEC S.p.A. is a company specializing in precision technology, robotics and mechatronics, applied to the automotive and biomedical sectors.
For the automotive industry, for 30 years we have built automatic machines for assembling and testing components. This website is about our experience in this field.
In the latest years we extended our competencies also to the biomedical sector, for which we develop navigation systems and biotech workstations. For more information, please visit MASMEC Biomed division website: www.masmecbiomed.com.
Men and robots: same space, same goal
Collaborative robots from the world’s top manufacturers were brought together by MASMEC at a unique event. Yesterday company’s customers and partners, researchers and professors had the opportunity to experience the performance of the latest generation of robots and discuss industry 4.0. Not only a high-tech manufacturer, MASMEC also plays an active role in the debate around trends in robotics and manufacturing industry. The featuring of this hot topic contributed to the huge success of the event, carried out in collaboration with ABB, Festo, Kawasaki, Kuka e Universal Robots.
Robotics for students
Robocup Jr 2016, a robotics competition for students from all over Italy, begins on 27 April in Bari. MASMEC will be there to show how those students’ future may look like. A cooperative robot, courtesy of Kuka, will be working at the stand (Fiera del Levante, hall 9); on 28th April the focus will be on robotics in the biomedical field: a researcher will explain how to build an automated molecular biology laboratory.
Robotics in school
A subject but also a method of reasoning and testing: this is what robotics means to the schools that enter Robocup Jr, the Italian robotics competition for students aged 6-19. This year the contest will take place in Bari, from 27 to 30 April, and it will coordinated by Japigia 1-Verga school. MASMEC, that, of course, committed to the initiative immediately and that will bring industrial robotics to youths, wishes good luck to all the teams.
